KCS Herr Voss UK Ltd has a long history of supplying quality equipment for the processing of flat rolled metals dating back to 1962. In its 50 year history the company has successfully executed over 300 major projects for carbon, stainless & electrical steels, aluminium, zinc & other non-ferrous alloy processing.
A significant number of these projects are for the upgrading of existing production lines by increasing output capacity, production efficiency, improving yield or incorporating new processes to enhance product quality.
The first projects in the 1960’s focused the stainless steel industry and much of this equipment is still in operation today. While the stainless steel sector continues to be an important part of the company’s business, more recently, projects for carbon & electrical steels and aluminium projects have been executed.
Throughout their history, KCS Herr Voss UK have supplied a wide range of specialist equipment & services to the metals industries, including the UK’s largest coil coating line and one of the world’s fastest aluminium can stock cleaning lines.
In recent years, numerous feasibility studies for major metal producers have been provided, many of which have played a role in important strategic decisions.
Company chronology:
1962 AEI-Herr Ltd formed in Aldridge as a joint venture between Herr Equipment Corporation of the USA & AEI in the UK
1971 Herr Equipment Corporation & Voss Engineering purchased by Salem Corporation. Herr-Voss established as a subsidiary of Salem Engineering (UK).
1976 Salem Herr-Voss formed as an independent subsidiary of Salem Engineering (UK) Co Ltd. Offices at Eastgate House in Derby established.
1992 Company name changed to Herr-Voss Ltd
1996 Salem Corporation purchased by Three Cities Research Investment Group
1999 Herr-Voss purchased by Monarch Machine Tool Co Inc. Monarch name changed to Genesis Worldwide Corp
2001 Herr-Voss Ltd purchased by KCS Industrie-Holding AG, Austria. Name changed to KCS Herr Voss UK Ltd
2003 KCS Herr Voss UK Ltd purchased by LVD of France
2006 Shares in KCS Herr Voss UK Ltd acquired by Parkegate Process Ltd
2012 KCS Herr Voss UK is acquired by SALICO GROUP
Salico Group is dedicated to the conception, engineering, manufacturing, putting into operation, training and servicing of equipment for processing, finishing and cutting for both ferrous and non ferrous metal strip and mainly focused on high technological solutions and continuous innovation of the products.
The Group facilities include two manufacturing plants and two automation plants.
